Guillermo Bañares-de Dios (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain)
Guillermo Bañares-de Dios is the 2019 recipient of the EEF Ramon Margalef Award (Category 'Theoretical Ecology') for his engaging oral presentation on the ecological mechanisms shaping woody plant community structure using functional traits.

Carla Vázquez-González (Misión Biológica de Galicia – CSIC, Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain)
Carla Vázquez-González is the 2019 awardee of the AoBP Evolutionary Ecology Award for her clear oral presentation on how climate and genetic structure determines intraspecific variation in defensive traits in pine trees.

Lola Álvarez Ruiz is the 2019 recipient of both the AoBP Evolutionary Ecology Award and the 1st SIBECOL Poster Award (Category 'Scientific Creativity and Science Innovation') for the original presentation of her research on the evolutionary adaptations and survival responses of lizards to different fire regimes.

Mercedes Sánchez Cabrera (Universidad de Sevilla, Sevilla, Spain)
